Consequences of Gender Roles

Males are aggressive and adventurous. Due to this, chances of their death in younger age are high.
Males apply fight or flight strategy when in difficult situations. This decreases the likelihood of their survival and their genes spreading. 
Females are submissive which increase the likelihood of their and their offspring's survival in difficult situations.They are more emotional which affects the adversary, which mostly consist on males.

Based on the above points, we can conclude that collectively, in any society, average age of females is always more than average age of men.

  1. When in difficult and tricky situation, men apply fight or flight strategies. If they fight, they are more likely to die. If the fly or run away, they will have fewer chances to find a mate continue their family. Therefore, men are not a good way to spread genes to future generations.

  2. When females are captured in wars, they are less likely to be murdered. One reason is their lack of active role in the wars. Most of the time, they are enslaved or raped, which results in pregnancies and new children, and hence the spread of genes of the females.

  3. Nature doesn't care how we humans look at different things in our societies. Nature looks at long term benefits to the genes and their survival. Everybody is just a tiny part of a huge machine.
